Hundreds of cadets reported to weekend camps at the Paragon Cadet Campsite and at the Foundation School as Cadet Week 2008 commenced. The main objectives of the camp were to execute the annual Commandant's Inspection of all cadet units and to attend a thanksgiving church service in appreciation of a successful year of cadetting activities.

On Saturday at 0800hrs, Battalions 1 and 2 were inspected by a number of inspecting teams appointed specially for the tasks while Battalions 3 and 4, located at the Foundation School were simultaneously inspected by separate teams.

As expected, cadets spent some time shining and pressing their uniforms AND KIT, and most managed to impress with their turnout and bearing.

At the end of the exercise, the Chief Judge, Major I Boyce had tabulated the scores and prepared the final report for the Commandant.

The  cadets judged to be the 16 top turned out for this year's inspection have been selected and will be announced as soon as the Commandant have reviewed the results.

The Inspecting Teams receive their final briefing from coordinator Capt Maria Moore before commencing.

MaJor Peter Powlett led the Inspecting team for the Sea Cadets. He was impressed with their turn-out.

A group of cadets 'from Number 9' take a break and make some last minute adjustments before their unit is called for their Inspection parade at Foundation School.
