| MAJOR SKEETE IS ACTING COMMANDANT | |
| Major Patrick
Skeete has been appointed acting Commandant of the Barbados Cadet Corps.
Lt Col Browne has been granted leave from duty to attend the 18th
Commonwealth Games in Melbourne Australia from March 6 to 28, 2006. Major Skeete is no stranger to the position of leadership in the Cadet Corps and in fact is probably the single longest serving senior officer in the organisation. Maj Skeete has previously acted as Commandant and on a day to day basis undertakes the even more intensive role of Cadet Executive Officer. Major Irvin Boyce will act as Deputy Commandant during the period. Colonel Browne is a director of the Barbados Olympic Committee and has had a long and high profile association with sports -especially Table Tennis over the years. He is a member of the Barbados management team at the games where a contingent of 106 athletes and officials are representing Barbados in a number of sporting disciplines. |
