It's Samrodia Again
Leading Seaman Samrodia J won the coveted Sea Cadet of the Year award at the annual Commander's parade held at Fort Willoughby on Saturday January 7, 2006. He last won this special award in 2003. OC of the Sea Cadet Unit, SLt Morris praised the winner for his commitment and consistency during the year. From all reports however, many of the sea cadets did very well, judging from the number of awards for perfect attendance, excellence, improvement and performance. Commandant of the BCC, Lt Col T T Browne was on hand to present the awards. In his brief comments, Col Browne praised the sea cadets for the high standards set during 2005, particularly their excellent turnout at all levels. He encouraged them to keep up the excellent work. Mr. Morris took the opportunity to introduce changes to the Merit System and also to brief parents of new sea Cadets on regulations, procedures and rules while they signed up their children at the start of the new year. |
